A working experience at Yi Feng Chart Article Manufacture Company

In last Spring Festival，I worked at Yi Feng Chart Article Manufacture Company for half a month.It is a precious working experience and I have learned a lot from it.

The first thing I want to say is that it is a group situation so the most important thing I have learned is that the cooperation.There is an old saying in China，nobody can be a lonely island to success.We have lots of business to deal with every day，such as make video for people，take photos for them，type words on the computer and print out and so on.Because I am new here，some of the skills I can't do so well so I will ask other employees for a help and I learn the skills from their workings quickly.Sometimes the business is too many and the other employees could't finish on time by themselves.At that time,I will give a hand to them and try my best to finish some simple things for tnem while they are doing high-skilled jobs.Through helping each others like these，I make new friends in the company quickly and I am used to work here soon.

In some ways，I have also gained some new insights about myself during and after the peocess.Firstly，I have become more out-going and understand others’meanings easily.Every day，I meet different kinds of people and each of them have different requirements so the first step to me is to talk to them and understand their meanings in the shortest time.It is an important point because if you don't know what they want clearly，though you have put your effort in the work but the people still won't be satisfied with you.Secondly，I have known that only hard effort can get the most success.At first，I think the work is too easy，just type words on the computer and print them out.But，when I did this for a womam，she felt angry about me because my speed on typing was too slow.After that，I didn't think it was an easy work any more and started to practise on typing words at home.Those days，gave myself an article to practise and measure the time at the same time.Only if I finish it，I can sleep every day.A few days later，when I typed for another woman，I typed more quickly than last time and when I finished my work，I saw the smile on her face.On that moment，I feel happier than eating ten ice-creams.

Through the process，there are some skills requied to work effectively and safely with others and to succeed as individual and collaborative workers.The first thing I want to say is the speed of typing words which I have just talked about above.Secondly，is the time.You should use time effectively so that the people won't wait for a long time.For example,when a woman ask for typing words and at the same time a student ask to print a poster.Because typing words needs more time so I will make the machine to print and then I type words for the woman.When the poster is printed out，I will take it and then keep typing words.Sometimes，we need to do two or more than two things at the same time.

I usually performed in these duties which are typing words and printing things out.Today computer skills is very improtant so I learn the skills on it will be useful for my future work on computer.To the community，I have brought some benefits.They have one more employee and can do things more quickly.To me，the benefits is that I can get a different working experience and it would be useful when I work for other companies in the future.

The Planning Fundraising Certificate

Here is a Fundraising Certificate.The fundraising is organized by planning class and it is one of our group project.It raises money for the coming Fashion Show amd the group which raises the most money will bw the winner.Through our four weeks effort，we raises the most money which is 494 yuan and our group is the winner of 2009 Fundraising Activity.Our group members are Kassie，Mike，Allen and me.

A precious experience of selling newspapers

During last Spring Festivel ，from January twentieth，I joined in charity bazaar for half a month，which was organized by Oriental Guardian.I worked with different students in Nanjing.

It is not an exhibition but it is a public event organized by a famous newspaper office in Nanjing.I must get up every day and meet with other students in front of Chinese Bank.Our task is to sell newspapers and all the money we donate to the poor children in Sichuan and some other provinces.I choose this event because it is meaningful and we can truly help people in need by ourselves.If it can be called an exhibition，I consider it is my own exhibition because it is an excellent chance to show my ability and learn how to deal with different people.

I like it because my ability actually improves and I know how to make different people want to buy your goods which may be useful on business class in the future.I find it is indifferent and precious because through the process，I am refused by people over one hundred times totally but I am used to it and I never give up，just ask another person if he/she wants to buy a newspaper.Sometimes I feel sad but I just encourage myself I can use my strength to help poor children so I need to try my best，these sad things are no matter，just keep on working.Now，I have learned a lot from this hard experience and grown up from it.Here under are some interesting videos during this experience.

A Christmas Service

I had been to a meaningful religious service on December fourteenth last year at Mochou Lu Church in Nanjing.I went there by myself but I met my teacher and some classmates there.I attended it from two to half past three in the afternoon.I chose this particular religion because I wanted to know more about Catholicism and Mochou Lu Church is one of the most famous Catholic churches.Every Saturday or Sunday，here is full of Catholicsm，some are Chinese，some not.

Totally，I consider that I like this service because it is another kind of culture and makes me feel peaceful.I found it is different because there is a play which shows how is the world changed when the Dod is born.I think that the play is the best part of the whole show，it is interesting and can attract more people be interested in Catholicism.It let me know more about God.I remember that‘Loving God，help us to hear how the prophets told us that you would come to save people.’Everyone here is believe in God and they believe God can make their hearts pure so they prepare a place in their hearts for their son，Christ Jesus.They have learned how to love and forgive others，be kind to everyone.They are grateful for God’s forgiveness and all the living things he gives so they want to try their best to help others using kind hearts. I want to attend more religious service like this in the future.

One unique western food learning experience

On April eleventh，it was a sunny day and I had one unique western food learning experience in one of the classroom at GCA.I went with one member of my fundraising group，Kassie.We met at half past eight .

The person who taught us is an international student and our task is to make a cake.Firstly，there isn’t enough materials so we were went to the supermarket and bought some eggs.Then we start with these materials：two small bags of flour，three bunches of chocolate，fruits，a box of eggs，sugar and ten boxes of butter.

The process is a bit complex.The first step is that flour mixes with eggs,and then mixed with sugar,butters,melting chocolates and fruits.Then just take one oven paper and put the mixture in the oven and wait for nearly forty minutes and the cake is finished.I like this activity because it is my first time to learn how to cook simple western food and it makes me feel excited and interesting.

Eating at ' My House ' with my family

The first thing I want say is that I have eaten at 'My House' with my family.We attend there at seven o'clock in the evening because we have already ordered it before.'My House' is a famous restaurant on Shangxi Road in Nanjing.The shopkeeper comes from Singapore and he is a kind and gentleman.I choose this restaurant because I have once eaten with the Grade twelve students here.I have tasted its meals by myself so I consider it is a traditional western restaurant.I have ordered 'Xi Leng' beefand a dish which is mixed with a small sea fish,eggs and bean curds.My father has ordered the Italian noodles and my mother has ordered the American small beef.

I think I should tell my real feelings about this supper.I feel sorry that I don't like the food I ordered-beef because I think the beef is too dry to eat even a bit hard.But there is something interesting happened.I am interested in my father's food-the Italian noodles.It is totally different from the food especially the noodles that I have eaten commonly.It is mixed with the smell of tomatos,butter and some green small vegetables.

When it comes into the mouth,it is soft and smooth.It makes me think of the fantastic sea views.

I must say that I am satisfied with the environment.It is clean,neat and elegant.There are some classical music here at any time and it makes the atomosphere more romantic so it is truly a good place for party or family dinner.The service is fine as well and each waiter or waitress is polite and elegant.Totally,I would like to say that I recommend the other people to eat there if you want to have a traditional western meal.

Local Female-Calligraphy Exhibition

On March seventh，I went to an exhibition called‘Local Female-Calligraphy Exhibition ' with my mother.It was held in Nanjing Art Museum which was on Number twelve,Fourth Lane.I attended the exhibition from two thirty to four thirty because in the afternoon,it opened from two to five.I chose this exhibition because March eighth was the Women's Day and I wanted to use this way to celebrate this festival for my dear mother.

There was an artwork that I found it is most interesting.It is a calligraphy artwork designed by a woman,Mr.Wu.There were only four words on the calligraphy artwork but it had deep meanings.It meant that a person with well moral character would get good forturn at the same time.In Chinese,it was called'Hou De Zai Fu'.I thought it was a useful sentance to everyone because it led us to do charitable deeds as many as we can and you would accumulate your good forturn imperceptibly so that the deity would be moved by your behavior and when you were in a bad situation,it would bring you good luck.

I like this exhibition and I found some of them are indifferent and meaningful.I like it because of two main reasons.Firstly,my mother feels happy when I stay with her to see the exhibition and likes the calligraphy I have just talked about as well.Secondly,each of the artwork is chosen from thousands of the ones from the whole Nanjing.It represents the best level of women calligraphy in Nanjing.I have seen different kinds of calligraphy here and it is a special kind of art.Some of them are soft and elegant because they use slight ink spots.Some of them are totally different.They are bold and unconstrained because they use pitch-dark with spacious ink lines.They even make me think of broad,dark-yellow desert with no people and just has strong north winds.It is a precious afternoon for both my mother and I and I have felt a lot from it.

Unite is strength

The first thing I want to say is that I have been a member of the Movie Club at the beginning of this year. I am both the vice president and manager of this club.It has been built for a short time so it is a new club.Our president is David Tao who comes from Grade twelve.

I must say that because I am both the member and leader of this club,I have learned a lot from the club which I have joined.Firstly,I have learned that what is unity because we are a unite club.For example,we divide the work for each people and no one will ask to change or escape.The second thing I have learned is that if you want to do something well,you must know it firstly.For example,I am arranged to write the play so each member in our group ask to read the plays written by the famous writers and watch the movies as much as posiible.From that,I deeply understand one old saying in China'Practice makes perfect '.Because we have seen a lot of examples of the plays,we can do our work fast and clearly.

From this experience,I have also gained more insights about myself during and after the process.Firstly,I seem to have the quality to be a good leader.For example,I can represent our club with David to introduce our club the first time in front of all GCA teachers including the principal.After our introduction,one of my teacher tells secretly that I have done a great job and that really makes me feel excited.I have found that I become more interested in movie and it is a great thing to me bacause the reason I have joined this club is just I am interested in writing plays at first.My interest has become the strength of my work so I won't feel tired when I am working.

I must say that there are some skills that are required to work effectively and safely with other students at GCA.The first thing is that you need to unite others well because we divide people in different groups and you must unite with your partners so that you all can work fast and clearly.The second thing is that you need to learn to be modestly decline step by step because our club is full of the people with different characters and maybe you will have different ideas with others.Until now,we have many members and lots of support from the teachers.Our club strength is unity just like I have said before .The reason is that 'Unity is strength'.If I must say what is the weakness of our club,that is we don't have enough people because making a movie is a hard work and needs many people to finish it.

Finally, I won't forget to tell you what I have done in the club.In the beginning,I am arranged to attract people to join our club.I introduce our club to the students at GCA .At the same time ,I am the representation of our club and I talk to the teachers at GCA to get their agreements.Now,I have joined playwriting group and my main job is to write the play.Because I have joined this group,I need to study more about it so that I can do my job well.Because of this reason,I learn more about movie and play.Because we don't have enough people but the work is too hard so each of us learn to unite so that we can do things fast and clearly.Our unity is also because that all of us have the common dream-make the best movie of students.This club also brings some benefits to GCA.The students can know more about making movie and they can create a movie by themselves.The benefits to myself is that I become more interested in movie and play and my leading ability has improved through being the leader of this club.

My feelings of being a member of Nanjing Community Volunteer

I have been a member of Nanjing Community Volunteer since 2008.I keep doing the community voluntary work each Saturday.I mainly teach the boy called Ji Nian in poverty who appears in these photos English but also help the old woman Ms.Zhang to read the newspapers,send e-mails to her children who work in the U.S.A and so on.

From this voluntary experience,I have learned a lot. From our organization,I find everyone is fond of this work and willing to help others as much as possible. It moves me and makes me do like them. For example,the little boy doesn't understand what I am teaching,I won't be impatient and I will teach two times,three times in slow speed until he understands.For another,Ms.Zhang doesn't have a good hearing so I read newpapers to her loudly every time and sometimes it even makes me throat hoarse but I don't care.Oppositely,I feel happy that I can use my own strength to help the elderly in need.I think, the change is a gift that our organization gives each of us.

I also find something new about my latent ability during and after this process.Firstly,it seems that I am suitable to be a teacher when I grow up because the words which are said by the boy.He tells that he feels bored about English before my teaching but he find English is not so boing as before now after having my lessons these days.To my surprise,he is truly willing to have my lessons and even ask me to teach more, I am really happy to tell you that his points has improved over ten points in this mid-term exam after my teaching for a while.Both myself and his parents feel happy about this result.I also find that my ability of communicating with others has improved because I need to chat with Ms.Zhang for a while every time so that I can know that what are her problems and give her my best advice.Because of this experience,I start to care more about others day by day.My mother even once tells me that I am more easy-going than before and our relationship is closer.I haved discovered more advantages about myself by this experience and I deeply feel that'Helping others is helping yourself'.I am getting to like this voluntary work when the time passes and I feel I am active every day both my heart and spirit.

More and more people ask me that how can I do my voluntary work well or do I have any skills to share with them?If I really have the skills,all that is just one rule-true heart. The little boy lives in poverty and the grandmother Ms.Zhang lives alone so both of them need to take more care of than others.Both of them believe in me so I also trade them with my true heart in the same way as well.I teach the little boy English attentively and patiently and truly expect that his points will be improved through our common effort. I really want to help the old woman -Ms.Zhang , so I listen to her requirements carefully and try my best to do them well.Because of this,I serve over the limited time from time to time and I have no feeling about time passing when I put all my bady and mind in them so I even feel surprised when I know I have done forty-eight hours voluntary work until now totally.

In conclusion,my voluntary work are on each Saturday.At 8:30-10:00,I teach the little boy English.At 10:30-11:30,I read newapapers and letters to Ms.Zhang and then send e-mails to her children in America for her.This experience helps me to get along with the people around me.To the community,the benefit is just to help two more people.But to myself,I have changed my lifestyle.I have become more active to face the life and live more happily than ever before.

Different feelings about playing badminton

The first thing I would like to say is that I have been a member of the Badminton Club at the beginning of this term and I have learned a lot from this experience.Because we don't have the clubs like these during my past years so we can't develop our physical parts very well.The first thing I have learned is some skills about playing badminton,such as how to save the badminton,how to catch far ball and so on.The second thing I have learned is the rules of badminton matches,such as where is the limited area for doubles,how can be called'out' and so on.The most important rule that I have learned is that we must keep quiet and can't go into the field when there is having a match even if the player is injured.If we don't do like so,it will be a humiliation to the player.The last thing I have learned is that each of the commune member must follow the club rules.For example,if you don't come to the activity or join in the meeting three times,you will be out of the club.

From this experience,I also gain more insights about myself during and after this activity.My middle school don't have these clubs so we can't get well exercise chances about sport.I ever feel despairing about my physical education points and I think I don't have any latent ability of it.Through this activity,I have found my body has more power or energy and it is softer than before.I have also found that I don't have the same thought as before and I become more interested in exercising.I want to try to play tennis after the holiday and I would like to keep playing badminton and improve my skills day by day so that I can play with my family at ant time.

I have learned so much because I have my own different experience.The older students at GCA have taught me some skills and rules about badminton so I learn them conveniently.I play with different people every time and use these things they have taught me.Although I usually fail one or two times even more , I don't discourage and I will learn them finally.This sport has given me too many benefits.For example,I have learned another sports item and my life has more joys.I have also become interested in sport little by little.I have known more about badminton and met more friend at GCA.

This activity also match my personal fitness goals because I want to learn ball sport as much as possible.My physical lifestyle is to keep exercising in my life.I would like to play other ball sport later so playing badminton is a base for them and I can do better step by step.

In conclusion,I have found the joys so I want to keep exercising and learn more kinds about them.Maybe I will join more sports clubs this year.There is an old saying in China'Body is the capital of revolution'.So I need to exercise and keep my health so that I will have enough energy to work better.Finally,I must say that I like sport and I am grateful for GCA and the Badminton Club that they give me a chance to develop myself.

Eating supper in a western resturant with Grade 12

On December 28th, I went to a western restaurant called'My Place' with the Grade 12 students and my classmates.We met at six o'clock and it is near Wangfujing Street.We chose this restaurant because it has orthodox western food and lower prices than others.

We eat a plate of vegetation salad, Italian noodles, deep-fried meat with rice and beef with chips and peas.I like the Italian noodles best from them because noodles is Chinese traditional food and it uses butter to make it smells fragrant.They are a little different than the food I usully eat because we seldom eat raw food, such as the romaine lettuces.We don't put both meat and rice on the same plate as well and our family seldom eat hot pickled vegetables.

Of course,I can't forget to say that 'My Place'has a warm and fragrant enviroment and you can see a Christmas tree with a huge sock and several gifts, a brown stove, soft sofas and clear windows.The atmosphere is very romentic because there is a rose in the glass bottle on the table and we drink the wine.I can see the candles everywhere and the waiters and waitresses are very polite.They change your plate intimately when it is dirty or full of food garbage.When we leave the testaurant,they open the door for us and say'Goodbye,welcome again!' in a warm tone.

I would recommend this restaurant'My Place' to other people because everyone can truly eat traditional western food and feel their cultures.It is also a good place for,family party,birthday party and so on.

Go to Wu Weishan’s exhibition

We have gone to an art exhibition called‘Wu Weshan Sculpture Show’on the fourth day of December.The kind of art that being shown is sculpture.The artwork is made by only one artist，Wu Weishan.The artwork is both traditional and contemporary because it is made in the past but it uses many modern skills.

I find an artwork that I think it is the most interesting and it is called‘The Sleeping Baby’.It is made in 1998 and awarded the prestigious‘Pangolin Prize’by the Royal Academy of Sculptor of the United Kingdom in 2003.

This artwork’s subject is a sleeping baby so he uses‘The Sleeping Baby’as its name.If you look at it carefully，you will find more details just like me.I see a baby opening his small mouth,a little bending his head and closing his eyes like two bent lines.His mouth opens like the word ‘o’and maybe there is some saliva near his mouth.He sleeps very peacefully and proparly he has a sweet and satisfied dream otherwise the cornners of mouth are smiling a little.From the art angle to describe the pure baby better ，Wu Weishan doesn't use the lines on the outline of the sleeping baby's head so that it looks smooth and makes us feel comfortable.He uses two bent lines to represent its eyebrous so that they look like two bent moons.It fully or perfectly shows the peaceful part of the child.On its head ,there is a gather of fur looks like soft cotton.He uses bent lines to make the bottom as well.To display the happiness of a child, he uses the bronze color.He also uses clay as the material because it can show the tender of a child.

This artwork makes me feel peaceful, pure and glorious.It even makes me think about my childhood which is the most precious time during my life.Of course, it not only reminds me this, but also something else.I am reminded of my hometown, my kind grandmother, the smoke from kitchen chimneys and all the unforgettable things like these in my memory.I still stand in front of the showcase but my spirit is going back to the past and I faintly hear my grandmother is calling out 'My dear grandchild, the supper is already, go back, go back......!'.I suddenly remind of the famous poem called 'Country Worries' which is written by Yu Guangzhong and I have learned it in my Chinese class.The poem talks about his childhood, his mother and so on.Though we are the people in different times, but the feelings to pure things including the childhood are the same.I also need to say that the artist's intention is similar with us. Through 'The Sleeping Baby', he wants to tell us that the child and the childhood are the purest so we need to treasure them.He also shows a feeling that he want more happy things so that the world might be simple and even better.

In conclusion, I like this exhibition and I feel exciting, interestiong and different because I find 'The Sleeping Baby'and it reminds my childhood and hometown memory.Of course, I like this artwork because it displays the childhood quite well and even let me think that the baby lies there is me.I also remind my precious childhood from it.I feel this way because I see the expressions on the baby's face.Look,the small mouth is a little open,the eyes close like lines and maybe there is some saliva near his mouth.It's so peaceful, quiet and pure that I can't stop thinking of my own childhood.I think maybe I sleep like him on my baby bed?

I consider that most of the other people might appreciate this artwork because each of us has a precious and unforgettable childhood and it is the first step that we stride forward into the world.The 'Pangolin Prize' is the best example to show that the western people like and respect it.In some ways, it is not only an artwork, but also a show of Chinese culture.Chinese people are very pure, kind and easy-going so th is the best way to show this and each of us is the representative of this artwork.
